Passion for Training
At Flying C Kennels, our mission is to develop well trained, dependable, and happy dogs by combining proven training methods with a passion for excellence. We specialize in training retrievers to reach their full potential in the field and in competition, while also providing obedience training for family pets to ensure harmony at home. Our goal is to strengthen the bond between dogs and their owners by building trust, respect, and confidence; creating skilled hunting partners and well-mannered companions alike.
Our Team
Elijah Collins is the owner and trainer at Flying C Kennels. He has owned and trained his personal dogs for the last 6 years. He worked for mentor and trainer Sean Rogers in Hartford, South Dakota. He has owned and trained English Setters, decoy dogs for coyote hunting, a Drahthaar, and most recently a black Labrador Retriever.
Grounds and Airing Yard
Flying C Kennels is located on 22 acres of beautiful pasture ground. Featuring a 1/2 an acre pond with improvement possibilities of adding dikes and an island. The pasture has enough cover for throwing hard to find marks and for planting birds working upland. We are also excited to add a swim by pond in the near future.
The airing yard is 30' x 30' for dogs to play and use the bathroom. Dogs are aired 4 times a day in addition to training time. We air in groups according to sex, age, temperament, and your preferences.
We feed Purina Pro Plan 30/20 chicken and rice formula. We believe this food is one of the best on the market. We are more than happy to accommodate for puppies you wish to be kept on a puppy formula, or those with a strict or sensitive diet.
